LiteThink ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users ("you"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the LiteThink Chrome Extension (the "Extension").

Information We Collect

When you use the Extension, we may collect the following information:

• Personal Identification Information: Your name, email address, and other identifiers for account registration, customer support, and communication purposes. We hash your email address and use this hashed value to retrieve your personalized preferences from our backend services. This information is required to provide the Extension's services.
• Professional Information: Your role, experience, expertise, and other professional details to customize and improve the Extension for your needs.
• Document Content: The Extension accesses content from documents you create to provide relevant, contextual AI suggestions. Access to documents requires your explicit permission through Google OAuth consent screens.
• Chat History: Conversations, including questions and answers or any inputs from you on the Chrome extension, between you and the AI assistant to improve continuity and context of suggestions.
• Usage Data: The Extension collects anonymous usage data and crash reports, which are stored securely in Firebase and Google analytics. This helps us diagnose problems and improve the Extension.

Use of Information

We use your information only for providing, improving, and developing the Extension, including to:

• Create and sync your account using hashed email addresses
• Retrieve preferences and custom AI training data using your hashed email
• Personalize the Extension to your professional context
• Generate suggestions using document content and chat history
• Improve the Extension based on anonymous, local usage data
• Communicate important notices and promotional offers
• Aggregate usage statistics to improve performance

Limit Use Disclosure

LiteThink's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements

AI Services

The Extension uses third-party AI services like Relevance AI and OpenAI to generate suggestions based on document content and chat history, requiring explicit OAuth consent.

This requires sharing complete or portions of document content with the AI service providers. We only share content after receiving your explicit consent through OAuth screens. Our use of AI services adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy.

Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your information. Emails are hashed before storage/transmission. Usage data is stored locally in Google chrome browser. However, no Internet transmission is fully secure.

You can review, update, export, and delete your personal information by contacting us directly.

We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post updates here. Your continued use of the Extension indicates acceptance of the amended terms.
